MallAura Glass
Transparent LED advertising on shopping-centre glazing.
MallAura Glass turns suitable fixed glazing in shopping centres into an advertising medium. MallAura handles technology and operation within an individually agreed partnership.
Advertising surface formats
Three advertising concepts for shopping centres.
Entrance panels, wide passage glazing and conditionally stationary lift-shaft glazing. The format follows the suitable fixed glass and individual assessment.

Concept study 01Fixed entrance panel: centre events and navigation within agreed airtime.
Fixed glass at the entrance
A vertical advertising surface, typically 9:16 at an entrance, on a fixed panel between or beside automatic doors – right in the flow of people.

Concept study 02Wide fixed mall-passage glazing: tenant campaigns and centre communication within agreed airtime.
Large glazed surfaces
A wide fixed glazed surface, such as a shop window or a glazed wall in a mall passage, as a large-format advertising surface visible from further away.

Concept study 03Stationary shaft glazing: conditional concept only; never elevator cabin or moving doors. Separate engineering, fire-safety and service assessment required.
Glass lift shafts
Fixed glazing of a stationary lift shaft as a vertical advertising surface at height. Never the lift car or moving doors; it always requires a separate technical, safety, service and fire assessment.
The visualizations are concept studies, not completed installations. Feasibility, dimensions and parameters of each surface are confirmed only by a technical assessment of the specific location.
How it works
Light forms the image, the gaps keep the view.
The transparent LED layer is applied to suitable fixed glass. The image is formed by lit diodes with open space between them, so empty parts of the composition appear transparent.

- 01
Visitor
View from outside or inside the entrance.
- 02
Transparent LED layer on fixed glass
Lit pixels form the image, the gaps stay transparent.
- 03
Building interior
The space behind the glass remains partly visible.
The degree of transparency and image performance depends on the specific technology, pixel density, lighting conditions and type of content. Final parameters are confirmed by the technical survey.
Solution layers
The layers of MallAura Glass.

A control unit placed in a technically accessible space.
- 05
CMS and monitoring
Remote content management, operational monitoring and reporting.
Glazing and entrance
Suitable glazing and surface formats.
Fixed glazing between two automatic entrances
The most typical configuration. The advertising surface sits in the middle of the flow of people and is visible from outside and inside.
Fixed side glazing next to an automatic entrance
Suitable where a central panel is not available or is technically unsuitable.
Entrance vestibule with a suitable fixed glazed surface
Larger vestibules allow placement with good viewing distance and stable lighting conditions.
Several standardized entrances in a portfolio
Across a property portfolio, a uniform advertising and operating standard can be created.
Large fixed glazed surface
A wide shop window or glazed passage wall with good visibility allows a large-format advertising surface. We set the format by the geometry of the glass.
Unsuitable situations
- Moving leaf of sliding doors without an approved technical solution
- Glazing of an emergency exit that must remain unobstructed
- Glass with incompatible coatings or lamination
- A site without sufficient power or service access
- A surface interfering with the door sensors or mechanism
- A position with insufficient footfall or visibility
- Placement conflicting with fire safety and evacuation requirements
Atypical solutions
We do not offer the following placements as an equivalent standard. They are feasible only after a separate technical assessment.
Fixed glazed panel above the entrance
An atypical solution. It requires a separate technical assessment of fixing, viewing angle, service access and safety. We do not offer it as an equivalent standard.
Fixed glazing of a lift shaft
Only the fixed glazing of a stationary shaft – never the lift car or moving lift doors. It requires a separate technical, safety, service and fire assessment; not every shaft is suitable.
We assess every location individually from a media, technical, operational, safety and commercial perspective.
Day and night
One character by day, another after dark.
By day the surface works with daylight, reflections and the contrast of the creative. After dark it gives the entrance a luminous presence. We verify the real behaviour for a specific entrance during the survey.

Content
Content guidelines for glass.
Creatives with high contrast and dark areas keep the transparency while remaining striking.
- Strong contrast
- Clearly separated subject
- Dark or empty areas that keep the see-through
- Limited small text
- Short messages
- Large typography
- Clean motion
- Composition matched to the surface format
- Realistic brightness for the environment
Controller and cabling
Controller and cabling as part of the architecture.
The control unit and player are placed in a technically accessible space. Cable routes run along the frame or structure of the entrance so they stay visually calm.

Power and data requirements
Power within reach of the entrance, space for control equipment and a stable internet connection. Exact parameters follow from the technical design.
Monitoring and service
Remote supervision of the surface, preventive maintenance, fault service and reporting as agreed.
Safety assessment
We coordinate the solution with the property manager, the door service company and fire safety and evacuation requirements.
Technical parameters
Technical parameters.
We split them into the confirmed product standard and parameters determined only by the technical survey. We do not state unconfirmed values.
Product standard
Applies to every MallAura Glass installation.
- Carrier
- Transparent LED layer applied to fixed glass
- Placement
- Fixed glazing only – never a moving door leaf, the door detection zone or a lift car
- Aspect ratio
- By the glazing geometry; typically 9:16 at an entrance
- Content format
- Video and static visuals in the format of the specific surface
- Control system
- MallAura CMS and player with remote management
- Operation
- MallAura provides installation, monitoring, media operation and service
Confirmed by the technical survey
These values are not universal. They depend on the chosen technology and the specific glazing, so we state them only after the technical survey – not as an estimate.
- Active and overall dimensions of the surface
- Pixel pitch and resulting resolution
- Brightness and degree of transparency
- Viewing angle in the given space
- Glass compatibility and type, including lamination and coatings
- Weight and fixing method
- Power consumption and supply
- Data connection and controller location
- Operating temperature and service life in the given environment
- Scope of warranty and service access
Business model
The technology is part of the partnership, not something we sell.
The owner does not buy MallAura Glass. MallAura provides the technology, installation, advertising sales and service within the agreed scope of a long-term partnership. The location can use an agreed share of airtime for its own communication.
FAQ
Technical and commercial questions.
How do we agree the partnership scope?
After assessing footfall, visibility and technical feasibility, we prepare an individual proposal. Together we agree surface placement, owner airtime, communication rules, the scope of technology, operation and service, and the duration of the partnership.
How much airtime can the owner use?
The share of the owner's own airtime is agreed individually. Locations typically use it for events, wayfinding, opening hours, operational notices and tenant communication.
What locations are you looking for?
Shopping and retail centres, shopping galleries and mall portfolios with suitable fixed glazing. Visitor flow, visibility, viewing distance, exclusivity, long-term availability and feasibility determine suitability.
Can the LED layer be placed directly on moving doors?
The standard advertising surface belongs on a fixed glazed panel. Placement directly on the moving leaf of automatic doors requires a separate technical assessment and the approval of the door manufacturer or service partner.
Will the interior remain visible through the surface?
The transparent LED layer preserves partial see-through. The degree of transparency depends on the chosen technology, pixel density, lighting conditions and the nature of the content. The technology is not completely invisible when switched off.
Will the solution affect the automatic doors?
The design aims to leave the door system, its sensors and escape routes untouched. That is why we place the surface on fixed glazing and coordinate the solution with the property manager and the door service company.
How long does implementation take?
The schedule depends on the entrance configuration, technical design, internal approvals, technology availability and installation conditions. We confirm a specific date only after the assessment and agreement.
Can you prepare a visualization before a decision is made?
If the centre is suitable after assessment, we prepare a concept visualization using available photos and dimensions. It supports internal decisions and is not technical approval.
